Obituary for Barbara S. Baker Barbara S. Baker, 80 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Chelsea at Bridgewater in Bridgewater, NJ. She was born in Akron, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Sheldon. Mrs. Baker was a resident of Bridgewater, NJ for the past year.

She had previously lived in Bedminster, NJ. Mrs. Baker had a Bachelor’s Degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She worked as a receptionist at the office of Lillian Baker Family Dentistry in Pottersville, NJ from September of 2004 before retiring in September of 2016 at the age of 79.

Mrs. baker was a loving, mother, sister and grandmother who will be sadly missed. She enjoyed working with dogs especially her therapy dog Ariel with whom she did over 1000 hours of therapy dog work. Mrs. Baker also did obedience training with dogs as well as training other therapy dogs.

She was a very caring and giving person. Mrs. Baker was a member of The Peapack Reformed Church in Gladstone, NJ. She was predeceased by her sister Lucie Sheldon.

She is survived by her son Ross A. Baker and his wife Lillian of Bedminster, NJ, her two daughters Beth Karcher and her husband William of Garden City, New York and Cyndi Wolfer and her husband Edward of Tacoma, Washington and by her two brothers Richard Sheldon of Cape Coral, Florida and Edgar (Ted) Sheldon and his wife Francie of Dexter, Michigan. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren Victoria Baker, Nolan Baker, William Karcher, John (Jack) Kercher, Michael Karcher, Katie Karcher, Emma karcher, Elise Wolfer and Matthew Wolfer. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 4:00 PM at The Peapack Reformed Church, 224 Main Street, Gladstone, NJ 07934 www.
