Barbara Zimmel, 83, of Butler passed away, Friday, October 26, 2018 at her daughter and son-in-laws residence. Born in Blairsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Josephine Pesci Zimmel She retired from Butler Memorial Hospital where she worked in the billing department. She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

She enjoyed shopping, cooking and being in the sun. Surviving is her daughter, Richele Ward and her husband, Bill Ward of McCandless. Her granddaughter, Kennedy Ann Ward also of McCandless.

A brother, Bob Pesci and his wife, Maureen of Simpsonville, SC. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bill and Joyce Zimmel of Chambersburg. Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Zimmel. And two brothers. Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home 201 East Cunningham St. Butler PA 16001 Tuesday from 9:00 am until 9:45 am.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 am Tuesday from St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. Butler, PA 16001. Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd, Renfrew, PA 16053.
