BARBARA JEAN (IRWIN) RAYBURN December 10, 1934 ~ July 2, 2018 Barbara Rayburn, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018 with family by her side. Barbara was born on December 10, 1934 to Marvin and Verna Irwin in Minot, North Dakota. As a child, Barbara lived in North Dakota, Montana and throughout the Pacific Northwest before eventually settling in Vancouver, Washington where she would meet the love of her life and raise a family.

Barbara met her husband Robert John Rayburn shortly after graduating from Vancouver High School in 1953. The two were married on June 19, 1954 and celebrated 64 years of marriage just before her passing. Barbara had four children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.

In addition to raising a family, Barbara had a successful, 28-year career at Jantzen Woolen Mills. After retirement, Barbara enjoyed spending her mornings walking and having coffee at the Vancouver Mall with her friends. She loved gardening, traveling, and celebrating special events with family and friends.

A special thanks to Barbara’s dear and devoted sister Linda, and her close friends Patsy, Judy and Ula who were there for her during difficult times. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on July 18, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. To send flowers or a remembrance gift to the family of Barbara Rayburn, please visit our Tribute Store.
