Our beloved Susie passed away on August 31, 2018 in Vancouver, WA. She was born July 16, 1960 in Lexington, NE to Lawrence “Moe” and Orvetta “Sandy” (Sandquist) Milgrove. She was the youngest of four children and joined her siblings Cindy, Mark and Kent.

At the age of 2, the family left Nebraska and moved to the Northwest, settling in Vancouver in 1967. Susie attended Marrion Elementary, Covington Junior High and graduated from Battle Ground High School. On September 12, 1998, Susie married Ron Allen.

She found joy in the color purple, sparkles, Marilyn Monroe, Iowa thunderstorms, Big Macs with cheese, salmon, animals, the music of Billy Ray Cyrus, playing cornhole and Nertz (a blood sportcard game in our family) and “visiting family cemeteries so they are not forgotten”. Family get togethers without her deviled eggs and chocolate pies will not be the same. Susie is survived by her husband, Ron; her sons, Luke Kaufman and Michael (Jessica) Kaufman; grandchildren, Austin, Lilly and Kinslee; her mother, Sandy Milgrove (Tom Morrison); sister, Cindy (Terry) Hammond; brother, Kent (Tami) Milgrove; in-laws, Stewart (Sharon) Allen and Steve (Annette) Allen; and many much loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence; and brother, Mark. A Purple Sparkle Party will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Rietdyks Mill, 512 NW Carty Road, Ridgefield, WA 98642. Please dress accordingly and help her loved ones celebrate the specialness that was Susie.
