BARBARA LEA JEPPESEN October 29, 1936 ~ July 2, 2018 Barbara Lea (Fox, Thorson) Jeppesen passed away peacefully at home July 2, 2018 in Vancouver, WA, after a 17 year struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was lovingly cared for by her husband Frank Jeppesen. She was born October 29, 1936 in O’Neill, Nebraska to Robert and Thelma Fox.

Graduating from Vancouver High School in 1954, she married high school sweetheart Arnold Thorson in 1955 and started her career as a wife and mother. Barbara married Frank in 1970, remaining together until the end of her life. Our mom, wife, grandma, sister, aunt and friend is remembered as a consummate housekeeper and cook.

She had a flair for decorating, make beautiful ceramic pieces and loved to throw holiday, birthday and dinner parties. She loved dancing, playing cards with friends, the Pendleton Roundup and her many dogs. She kept an immaculate home, and always dressed sharply, having her makeup on and her hair done.

She loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and was warm and welcoming to all. It was heartbreaking to see this disease rob her of all the things she loved to do. Please continue to remember as the beautiful loving woman that she was.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Arnold Thorson; her parents; sons Joel Jeppesen and Tracy Scott Thorson and grandson Mark Wieber. She is survived by her husband, Frank Jeppesen; daughter Jeri (Randy) Howe; son Matthew (Dee) Jeppesen; stepson Jerry (Melissa) Jeppesen; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Mary Jeppesen; and brothers Ron Fox, John Fox and Danny (Anita) Fox.
