Barry Kelley New, Sr., 75, of Augusta, GA, died Saturday, October 27, 2018, at August University Hospital. He was born in Wake County, NC to the late Miller Boyd New, Jr. and Grace Kelley New. Mr. New loyally served his country in the United States Army.

A graduate of Abbeville High School Class of 1961, he graduated from Erskine College in 1967 and the New York School of Design in 1971. Mr. New owned and operated Design Concepts Unlimited and was a member of the Abbeville American Legion Post 2. He is survived by a son, Barry K. New, Jr (DeLane); six grandchildren, Eric New, Daniel New (Sarah), Travis New (Anne Marie), Jordan Wilson, Bailee New, and Nick New; and one great-grandson, Gunner New.

All services will be private. Memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. New, may be sent to the Dixie High School Varsity Softball Team, PO Box 158, Due West, SC 29639. A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.
