St. Johnsbury, VT: Beatrice Mary Parker, 96, of St. Johnsbury, Vt. passed away on February 23, 2019, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Betty was born in Lewiston, ME on April 13, 1922, to the late George and Beatrice (Gahagan) Ricker.

She was raised and educated in Lewiston and married John T. ‘Jack’ Parker on October 9, 1943, and shared 51 years until his passing on May 25, 1994. She was a store manager at LUVS for many years, but Nana’s favorite job was caring for her family. After retirement she spent summers in Maine at the cottage and wintered in Florida.

When she moved back Betty resided at the Canterbury Inn making many lifelong friends. She kept herself busy at BINGO, plastic canvas crafts and reading. Betty is survived by a son: Michael F. Parker and wife, Judy, of Danville, Vt.

; five grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband: John “Jack” Parker; son: William G. Parker, a grandson: John Parker and a brother: William Ricker of Lewiston, ME; Friends may call on the family from 6-8PM Monday evening the 25th at the Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Church on winter Street in St. Johnsbury with Rev.

Fr. Karl Hahr. Burial will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the Mt.
