Carol Anne was born September 24, 1939 to Jeanne Cote and John Bona in Bristol, CT. She died peacefully on February 14, 2019, at her home. She spent her first seven years in Connecticut, moving to North Concord where she would remain until adulthood.

Carol graduated from Concord High School in 1957. Upon graduation she was employed by Ralston Purina. In July 1958, she married Wendel Patridge.

In a short time they welcomed four daughters. During this time they bought their first and only home in Concord. Carol resided there from age 22 until her death.

While raising her family, Carol did home shoe lacing, drove school bus and from 1975 until 1999 worked at Fairbanks Scales. Carol is survived by her four daughters: Cynthia Gaboriault and Gregory Rainey, Laura and Keith Fortier, Deborah and Dale Smith, and Janice and Scott Trottier. By 11 grandchildren: Mitchell Gaboriault, Lindsey Gaudet, Abigail McGarvey, Olivia Garon, Cameron Whitehead, Rachel Wood, Jillian Ives, Gabrielle Fortier, Natalie Fortier, Nolan Trottier and David Smith.

By 12 great-grandchildren: Charles, Dillon, Sophie, Trevor, Oliver, Eva, Cooper, John, Jackson, Remy, Reid, and Rory. Also surviving her are her sister and brother: Helen and Jeffrey Rook and Leo and Cynthia Bona. Her sisters-in-law: Theresa Bona, Beverly Masure, Lois Switser, Bernice Allard, Emily Roy, and Barbara Patridge and brother-in-law: Wendell Allard.

By numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving her are her dear friends: Lorena Lowell, Vivian Hovey, and Oscar Lynaugh. Carol was predeceased by her husband of 38 years: Wendel Patridge in 1997 and her second husband of 10 years: Bobby Genth in 2009; and a grandson: Dane Gaboriault and bother: Richard Bona.

Also predeceasing Carol were her sisters-in-law: Winona Masure and Polly Patridge; brothers-in-law: Solon, Howard, and Frank Patridge, Basil Masure, Joe Masure, and Arnold Switser. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, February 18, 2019, at the Third Congregational Church in East St. Johnsbury, VT with Rev. Ann Hockridge officiating.

A luncheon will follow. Burial will be in the spring on Sunday May 12, 2019 at the North Concord Cemetery in North Concord, VT. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 17, 2019, 3-6PM at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street, St. Johnsbury, VT.
