Beatrice Ferguson, 90, of Hazlet, New Jersey, formerly of Leeds, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 18. 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was born Beatrice McNamara on May 15, 1928 in County Claire, Ireland, where she grew up.

In 1949, Beatrice relocated to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, New York. While living in Brooklyn, Beatrice met her husband, Desmond. They were married on June 15, 1952 and began their lives together.

Later in life in 1999, they retired to Leeds, New York and in 2012, moved to Hazlet, New Jersey. Beatrice was predeceased by her parents, John and Julia (Farrell) McNamara, her dear sisters, Mary, Margaret, and Julia, fondly known as “Bunnie”, and her beloved husband, Desmond Ferguson. She is survived by her loving children, Peter D. Ferguson and his wife, Libby, of Houston, Texas, Kathleen Colorio and her husband, Michael A., of Hazlet, New Jersey, John K. Ferguson and his wife, Antonia, of San Diego, California, and Brian P. Ferguson and his wife, Gayle, of New City, New York.

Beatrice is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kathy, Michael, Eileen, Kristin, Sean, Jessica, Andrew, Sean, Patrick and Kevin, and her adored great grandchildren, Michael, JJ, Nikki, Desirae, Jace, Giulianna, and Savannah. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, November 21, 2018 from 8:15 to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway 35 North, Halzet, New Jersey 07730.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, November 21, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
