Beatrice “Betty” Bussiere (Jones), 99, of Willington, passed away February 6th, 7 months shy of her 100th Birthday. She was surrounded by her loving Granddaughters at St. Joseph Living Center the last two days of her life. Betty was born on September 3, 1919 in Putnam, CT daughter of the late Dianna Favreau and Wallace Jones, she spent most of her childhood in an orphanage in Putman which she never quite got over.

She was known for her quick wit and snappy tunes, “MeMe”, as she was known by all, loved spending time with her family. She was also known for her wonderful cooking skills and card playing. She will be missed by all.

Betty is survived by her five children, Philip Bussiere of Scotland, CT, Gloria Stetson of Dawsonville, Georgia, David Bussiere of Rabun Gap, Georgia, Edward Bussiere (Sandy) of N. Fort Myers, Florida and Heidi Fields (Russel) of Dawsonville, Georgia. She is also survived by seven siblings as well as twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great- grandchildren and eleven great- great -grandchildren who were her heart and joy. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Maurice Bussiere, on May 19, 2002 and granddaughter, Kerri Bussiere, on November 16, 1979.

She was also predeceased by twelve brothers and sisters. There will be no calling hours and memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in her name can be made to St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Rd.
