Becky’s Obituary Becky Kaye James, 53, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Grove, OK. She was born on July 24, 1965 in Henryetta, OK to her parents, Leon Williams, Sr. and Melba Randolph-Williams. Becky was a graduate of Jay High School, The Class of 1983.

She enjoyed being at the lake, creeks, taking trips and traveling, anything that had to do with crafts and always taking care of her family, friends and her clients with her loving heart and care. She loved her family and was a happy grandma. She had so much love for her grandbabies and loved being a grandma.

Becky was known for making several trips daily to McDonald’s to get her drink of choice, Sprite. She had a smile that was contagious with her bubbly personality and never met a stranger. Becky worked with the Jay Middle School as their Substitute Teacher and worked with the Friendship Home in Jay, OK.

taking special care of her clients. She loved attending her Class of 1983 reunions, having the time of her life smiling, laughing, sharing stories with pictures of her grandbabies, family and her husband Tim. She was one of a kind and Becky will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Her memory will never be forgotten. Becky is preceded in death by her dad, Leon Williams, Sr.; brother, Scotty Williams and her daughter, Joni Rene’ Smith-Flaming. She is survived by her husband of 7 lovely years, Timothy (Tim) James of Jay, OK; mom, Melba Williams of Jay, OK; brother, Leon William’s Jr. of Bernice, OK; her 4 daughters, Ashley Heffron and husband Donovan of Jay, OK, Candace Flaming of Jay, OK, Teri Dainty of Jay, OK, Brandi Glass and husband Ray of Jay, OK; 2 step-children, Bethany Mudge and husband Trevor of Corsicana, TX, Jessica Smith and husband Eric of Fresno, CA; 8 grandchildren, Thomas, Karlee, Zoey, Chelsea, Brianna, Dalton, Damon and Camden; 4 step-grandchildren, Caleb, Joseph, Shaun and Haylee; 1 great-granddaughter, Hayden; mother-in-law, Maxine Hamilton of Eucha, OK; brother-in-law, Sam James and his wife Shamara of Colcord, OK; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.

Becky’s Celebration Of Life Family Visitation to greet friends will be held on Wednesday, 4:00-8:00pm, May 29, 2019 at Lawson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Jay, OK. Visitation will conclude in the Chapel. The James family will have a Private Family Memorial Burial at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
