She is survived by her two children, Misty Renee Norton (and spouse Justin) and Amanda Nichole Jay, as well her two grandsons (Thomas Logan Tehan and Ashtyn Vaughn Jay-Blanset. Becky was born March 22, 1957 to Otis Jackson Bodiford, Jr. and Donna Faye Bodiford in Miami, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Harland A. (“Pete”) Speed. Becky’s father lives in Ruskin, Florida. Her siblings are Otis Jackson Bodiford, III (“Jack”) and Cheryl Bodiford McNeil (“Cherie”), and their spouses are Debbie Bodiford and Dan McNeil.

Becky graduated from Miami Central High School. A skilled storyteller with a keen sense of humor, Becky enjoyed spending time with her surviving aunt and uncles (Tudy Cochran and Terry, Holly, and Ronnie Lingerfelt), and her many friends. With a free-spirited approach to life, Becky embraced listening to rock music and riding motorcycles.

Becky also loved hanging out with her youngest grandson, Ashtyn, who lived with her and her daughter, Amanda, in Mulberry, Florida. Becky was a talented artist who made beautiful jewelry. She was a hard worker with a wide array of jobs over the years including kitchen design, welding, waitressing, and cutting leather for furniture.

The family will receive friends Tuesday January 22, 2019 from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at Seigler Funeral Home-Chapel, 1300 E. Canal Street, Mulberry, Fl. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Primitive Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Seigler Funeral Home, Mulberry, Florida.
