Obituary for Benjamin Douglas Martin Jr. Benjamin “Doug” Douglas Martin Jr., age 41, passed away at his home in South Point, Ohio on Wednesday, February 28th. He was born December 18th, 1976 in Ashland, KY to Benjamin Martin and Charlotte McDowell. Doug attended Tate’s Creek High School in Lexington, KY before going on to masonry school and working for the union.

Doug loved the state of Kentucky and wanted to spend the rest of his life there where he could root on his favorite team the “Kentucky Wildcats”. Doug enjoyed riding dirt bikes and playing basketball, but most of all he loved to be with his family and friends. He was full of laughter and had a big heart.

Doug is survived by his father, Benjamin Martin; mother, Charlotte McDowell; 2 brothers, Christopher Kirk and Michael McDowell; aunt, Debra Perkey; uncle, Richard Perkey and cousins, Stephen Perkey, David Perkey, and Rebecca Perkey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY under the account of his mother, Charlotte McDowell.
