Benjamin J. Mikulski, 89, Sandusky, died Thursday, October 25, 2018, in the Ohio Veterans Home. He was born on June 22, 1929 in Plymouth, PA, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Ben was employed by ABF Trucking as a truck driver.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 83, V.F.W. Post 2729, and Amvets Post 17, Ben loved hunting, fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with family. He is survived by his daughters, Patty (John) Tillotson, Sandusky, Peggy (Bud) Grohe, Berlin Heights, and Debra Mikulski, California; grandchildren, Jamie, Patrick, Heidi, Hannah, and Ryan; nine grandchildren; a sister, Marie Finnegan, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy D. Mikulski in 1994; parents; and his son, Ben C. Mikulski in 2011.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 29, 2018, at 11 A.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave. , Sandusky. Rev, Ken Hiser of Faith Memorial Church will officiate.

The family wants to invite the OVH family to the services or join them at the American Legion for a luncheon afterwards. Memorial contributions may be made in Ben’s name to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, or to the Ohio Veterans Home Resident Fund, 3416 Columbus Ave. , Sandusky, OH 44870.
