Jeanne M. Britt, 79, Vickery, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018, in The Willows at Bellevue. She was born in Sandusky on June 29, 1939, to the late Miles C. and Mary L. (Christiansen) Fritz. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, crafts, horseback riding, and loved her horses and pets.

Most of all, she enjoyed time with family and friends. Jeanne worked various jobs throughout a long career. Her most valued job carried the title of “Mom” and required her to lead a small tribe of knuckleheads into adulthood which she accomplished through generous love, stern humor, and unwavering support.

Later promoted to “Gram” she worked the remainder of her life passing her quality and values to the second and third generations of the family she loved. She is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Dwayne) Vaughn, Boise, ID, Bonnie (David) Hooks, Clyde, Susan Dumas and Vicki Seitz, both of Sandusky, and Jodi (James) Cornwell, Battle Creek, MI; sons, William (Evelyn) Shultz, El Paso, TX, David Seitz, Vickery, and James H. Britt, Bowling Green, OH; thirty one grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael (Linda) Fritz, Cincinnati, OH; aunts, uncles, cousins, and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Britt; parents; and a son, Kelly Seitz.

Friends may call on Friday, October 19, 2018, from Noon until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave. , Sandusky. Father Edward Schleter will officiate.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Following the interment there will be a Celebration of Jeanne’s life at the U.A.W. Local 1216 Union Hall, 3211 Bardshar Rd. , Sandusky, OH 44870.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeanne’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Condolences and gifts of sympathy may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
