Bernard “Jerry” Fecteau Jr., age 63, lifelong resident of Pedricktown, NJ, passed away after a brief illness on January 18, 2019. A graduate of Penns Grove High School and Salem Community College, Jerry was the retired proprietor of Jerry’s Home Center (formerly Justice Lumber Co) in Penns Grove / Carneys Point. Jerry was a past member of the Penns Grove Rotary and Penns Grove Exchange Club.

Jerry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, barbecuing and playing horseshoes, riding horses, and was an avid animal lover all around. He loved working with his hands, especially on cars with his sons and grandson. He adored watching and playing with his beloved granddaughters (although maybe they were watching him!

). He is most fondly remembered cooking meals for his friends, family, and neighbors – there was always an available seat at the table and words of wisdom and advice – with a dose of humor. Jerry was predeceased by his loving grandparents Vera and Lester Dawson.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Mary Ann (nee Ulissi), sons Jason (Trista) and Joshua, daughter Lisa (Bill), grandson and best friend Bradly, adored granddaughters Alyse, Aubree, and Mia, brother John (Marcie), and Smokey his cherished pitbull. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday January 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Ashcraft Funeral Home 740 S Broadway, Pennsville NJ 08070. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
