Obituary for Bernard Tyson Tyson, Bernard E. – 85, of West Cape May, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Born in West Philadelphia, Bernard graduated West Philadelphia High School. Shortly thereafter he joined the United States Armed Forces Navy Reserve and honorably served for 17 years.

During that time, he continued his education at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania where he received his BA in Federal Criminal Justice. Bernard worked for the government until retiring. He then continued his education and earned his Master’s Degree in mathematics and became a professor at Camden and Cumberland Community Colleges.

Bernard received many achievement awards in his lifetime until he took ill. He was predeceased by his mother, Grace Tyson and father James Tyson. He dearly missed by his family which includes his two daughters, Evelyn and Marion; brother, William and a host of grand & great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bernard will be private.
