Obituary for Rose Harley Mrs. Rose (Haungs) Harley, 78, of Troy, Pa. passed away on 19 Jul 2018. Born into the Mohawk Nation on the Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve, Ontario, Canada.

A Master in the art of beadwork, she has over the years taught so many this beautiful technique so it would not be a lost art. Known to all as “Dota” (native word meaning Elder/grandmother), a woman with a beautiful and loving spirit who will be missed and loved by all who knew her. Predeceased by her husband Charlie (2008).

She is survived by her children Deborah (David) Fogleman, Sandra (Richard) Pilling, Kenneth (Tracy) Haungs, Robert (Nicole) Harley and Karen (Ralph) Sorrentino. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Quote “My Soul remains free, with the eagle it flies”.

We love you Mom (My Darling). Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday (July 28th) in the Seashore Church of the Nazarene, 446 Seashore Rd. , Cape May, from 10:30am until 11am with Rose’s memorial service to follow and begin at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Troy Fine Arts Council sponsoring local High School art students with college scholarships. Donations can be made to: Fine Arts Council of Troy, Attention Kathy Brown. 190 Parkhurst Rd.
