Obituary for Bernardo Antonio Vargas Print Bernardo Antonio Vargas, 35, husband of Wanda Rodriguez de Vargas, died, Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Born in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic on March 12, 1983, he was the son of Ferrer Vargas and Edita Paez. He resided in Meriden for the past five years and prior to his illness, he was employed as a driver for C-Town Supermarket in Meriden and Cherry Valley Marketplace in Waterbury.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by four daughters; Haydee, Yaiveliz, Luz Darieliz and Lisbeiry, a granddaughter, Sophia, three sisters; Madeline, Judith and Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Iglesia El Fin Se Acerca, 23 St. Casimir Drive, Meriden, CT 06450 from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 11 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
