Obituary for Bernice Farris Baumgardner Bernice Farris Baumgardner, 88, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 17, 1930, in Kings Creek, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Nathan Farris and Mary Dover Farris and widow of George E. Baumgardner. She was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Frye (Terry) of Inman, SC and Karen Howard (Rick) of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Hunter Frye, Harrison Frye, Haley Frye, and Noelle Darnell (Brian); six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Vangie Turner of Rock Hill, SC and Lillie Spearman of Clover, SC. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, by The Rev. Bobby Lindsey.

Visitation will follow the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boiling Springs First Baptist Church Senior Adults, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316; or the Alzheimer’s Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
