M. with the visitation beginning at 9:00 A. M. at St. Joseph B. C. in Chataignier, LA. Burial will be in St. Joseph B. C. Cemetery. Pastor Matthew Alfred, Jr. will officiate the funeral ceremony.

On Saturday, May 11, 2019, the Angels of the Lord journeyed to Bernita’s residence and escorted her to her heaveanly home. Cherishing her memory will be her children: Juanita Mitchell Fontenot of Houston, TX, Hillery Fontenot, Jr. of Hoboken, NJ, Daniel Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA and Dale Fontenot of Shreveport, LA; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
