Bertha Alicia Parra, 69, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at her home in Pratt. She was born May 2, 1949 in Durango, Mexico to Jesus and Maria Rodriguez. On April 16, 1962, she married Israel E. Parra in Mexico.

He preceded her in death on January 6, 2006. Bertha moved here 44 years ago from Mexico. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting and cooking. She is survived by her children, Jason (Regina) Parra of Wichita, Lorena (Lucas) Parra-Kanady of Wichita, Elisabeth Parra of Pratt and Scott (Jeremy Misenhelter) Parra of Pratt; sister, Dora Rodriguez of Delicias, Mexico; brother, Pedro De Leon of Delicias, Mexico; and 11 grandchildren. Bertha is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Israel; some brothers and sisters; and granddaughter, Gabriella Marie Parra-Kanady.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends starting at 5:00 p.m. A Vigil and Rosary service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Michael Klag presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.

Memorials may be made to Lemon Park Lights in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.
