Pratt, Kansas – John C. Green, 71, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Pratt Health and Rehabilitation in Pratt. He was born September 20, 1947 in Pratt to William E. and Gwennola Maxine (Hooper) Green. He married Leslie Lynn (Rolf) Green on June 10, 1972 in Isabel.

She survives. John attended Pratt Church of Christ. He earned a Bachelors of Business from Friends University.

He served in the United States Navy as a Seabee and was very proud of his veteran status. He was also a member of the Isabel American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, reading, working in the yard, helping people and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie; daughters, Jennifer (Judson) Spicer of Golden, Colorado and Abby (Corey) Bevan of Andover; brother, Richard Green of Wichita; sister, Gail Palmer of Topeka; and grandchildren, Lynn and Blake Spicer and Lawrence and Elliot Bevan. John was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Larrison Mortuary with John Hamm presiding. Burial with Navy honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt. Memorials may be made to Pratt Public Library and Pratt Church of Christ in care of Larrison Mortuary.
