John Kenneth Fields, 101, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at South Wind Home, Pratt. He was born April 10, 1917 in Lipscomb County, Texas to Earl and Olivia (Gardner) Fields. He married Edna “Kate” Louise (Carr) Fields on February 29, 1940 in Anthony, Kansas.

She preceded him in death on April 23, 2003. John was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed fishing and working, especially farming during harvest.

He is survived by his son, Greg (Pam) Fields of Pratt; daughter, Sharon Carothers of Palm City, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna “Kate”; parents; son, Larry K. Fields; siblings, Eugene, Ernest, Leonard, Betty, Curtis and Don; great grandson, Jordan Fields; and son in-law, Gary Carothers. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt . Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt. Memorials may be made to South Wind Home in care of Larrison Mortuary.
