Rita Marie (Rezeau) Fletcher, 90, of Derby, KS, formerly of Pratt, KS, died Friday May 17, 2019 at Ascension Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS. She was born on June 24, 1928 in Cullison, KS, the daughter of Harve S. Rezeau and Ruth (Chitwood) Rezeau. On June 26, 1949, she married Burl J. Fletcher, Jr. in Pratt, KS.

He preceded her in death on October 23, 1997. Rita worked for the People’s Bank in Pratt, Kansas and the Farmers & Merchants Bank in Derby, KS. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Pratt, KS, the Pratt Garden Club and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Surviving are three sons, Burl Jay (Lorinda) Fletcher of Wichita, KS, Scott Alan (Deborah) Fletcher of Meridianville, AL, and Brian Dee ( Cherylen) Fletcher of Emporia, KS; One daughter, A. Sue (David) Fleming of Derby, KS; Eight grandchildren, Burl Justin (Amanda) Fletcher, Gregory Andrew Fletcher, Chad Amery Fletcher, Kimberly Ann Fletcher, Bryce Alan Fletcher, Rita Kathleen (Michael) Mihalek, Patricia Suzannne (Douglas) Browning, and Shanon Dawn Fletcher; Six great-grandchildren; One sister, Joyce Lee of Coats, KS. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Reva Hillard. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present from 2-4 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS 67124.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with John Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, KS. Memorials may be made to the National Humane Society, in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS 67124.
