Bobby Burton Crater, 62, of Medicine Lodge, KS died Monday, March 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born on July 8, 1956 in Medicine Lodge, KS, the son of Howard Burton Crater, Jr. and Delores (Thiel) Crater. On April 4, 1975, he married Anita (Garten) Crater in Medicine Lodge, KS.

She survives. Bobby was a member of the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, KS and the AQHA. He was an avid hunter, golfer, fisherman, and athlete for most of his life and enjoyed cheering on his kids and grandkids.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Anita Crater are two daughters, Jayme McDonald of Medicine Lodge, KS and Shelley (Michael) Old of Yates Center, KS; Five grandchildren, Sierra McDonald, Dalton Brittain, Emmett Brittain, Adler McDonald, and Garrison Brittain; one sister, Debbie (Morgan) Trinkle of Preston, KS; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his father and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Otie Garten. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, KS with J.W. Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Working Ranch Cowboys Association Crisis Fund in care of the funeral home.
