Francis R. Hansen, of Medicine Lodge, KS, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born on July 5, 1944 in Peabody, KS, the son of Alfred Hansen and Eunice (Noreen) Hansen. On May 13, 1967, he married Theodora “Sue” (Ellis) Hansen in Florence, KS.

She preceded him in death on September 13, 2014. Francis was a member of the First Christian Church in Florence, KS. He was a 1962 of Florence High School and worked for the Burlington Santa Fe Railroad Company.

Surviving are one son, Russell W. Hansen of Medicine Lodge, KS; three daughters, Judy Lynn Hansen of Attica, KS, Sherri A. Freeman of Hardtner, KS, and Amy (Lee) Shipman of Florence, KS; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Robert Hansen and two sisters, Anna Hanson and Rose McElhiney. Cremation has taken place.
