Obituary of Bertha Warner Bertha “Leota” Warner, age 93, formerly of Titusville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 13, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Maryland. She was the beloved wife of the late Willard Warner for sixty-two years. Born April 15, 1925 in Plumer, Pennsylvania, Leota was the daughter of the late Clarence Dewy and Grace Rodgers Holden.

She graduated from Oil City High School and married Bill Warner January 16, 1946. During WWII Leota worked at Oil Well Supply making artillery shells for the war effort. Later in life she worked at GTE Sylvania as a quality control inspector.

During her 27 years there, Leota never missed a day of work, a testament to the dedication she applied to all aspects of her life. Leota was a member of the Breedtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and loved to cook.

She was famous for the many pies she baked during her lifetime. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leota is survived by her son Thomas and wife Carmella of Frederick, Maryland, her daughter Sandra Pelisari and her husband Richard of Fresno, California; five grandchildren, Tonia Sallaway and husband Andrew of Dover, PA, Andrew Warner and wife Rita of Frederick, MD, Kurt Pelisari and wife Cheryl of Pittsburgh, Krista Saix Pelisari and husband Francois of San Carlos, CA.

, and Kent Pelisari and wife Jennifer of Fresno, CA. ; seven great-grandchildren, Tessa and Sally Warner, Amanda Pelisari, Michael Richards, Laura Richards, Henri and Lucien Saix Pelisari. Leota was preceded in death by two sisters, Evangeline (Yvonne) Warner and Donna Ferringer.

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 North Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 22 at 11 AM at the Breedtown Baptist Church, 2037 Cherrytree Rd. , Titusville, PA.
