Obituary of Edward Waddell Mr. Edward P. Waddell, 89, of Pleasantville, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Titusville Area Hospital. He was born in Titusville on December 24, 1928 to the late Clyde and Helen Carson Waddell. Mr. Waddell graduated from Tionesta High School, class of 1946.

He married Anna Grace V. Williams on January 26, 1951 in Duquesne, PA. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2006. Mr. Waddell was a veteran of the United State Navy, having served during WWII on the USS Fresno.

He was honorably discharged in 1948. He was employed as a machine operator at the former Cytemp Specialty Steel Corp. for 40 years until his retirement in 1991.

He had also driven school bus for Titusville School District for 14 years where he was known as “Mr. Ed”. He was a member of the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church. Mr. Waddell was a member of the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department for twenty-five years, having served with them as past president, secretary, and driver.

He was also the past president of Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville. He is survived by four children, Amy J. Penn and husband Jay of Albuquerque, NM, Phillip A. Waddell of Townville, Ken E. Waddell of Pleasantville, and Bill Waddell and wife Teresa of Pleasantville; three grandchildren, Ken Penn and wife Sara and Sarah Penn of Albuquerque, NM, and Lydia Waddell of Pleasantville; and a good and loving friend, Twila Williams of Pleasantville. Friends and family may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354 on Friday, October 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, with a funeral service on Saturday, October 13 at 11 AM at the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church, 155 E. State St., Pleasantville, PA 16341, with Rev.

Jamey Fowler officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 180, Pleasantville, PA 16341, or to the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 45, Pleasantville, PA 16341.
