Bertie irene Claywell, age 86, of Hendersonville passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great- grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Thaxton and Bryant Claywell; daughter in law Sherry Thaxton and her grandson Jeremy Thaxton.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (David) Simpkins and her son Wayne Thaxton; grandchildren, Angela Sanders, Darrel Thaxton and Brandi Claiburn; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild also survive. Her family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday February 15 at Austin and Bell Funeral Home, Hendersonville. A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday February 15 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Services entrusted to Austin and Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hendersonville. 615-822-4442.
