Obituary for Beryl Lelliott Beryl Lelliott, 78, of Newnan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 9, 2018, after a long battle with dementia. She lived her life in service to her Lord and Savior and leaves a legacy here of lives that were touched by the love of Jesus that shone through her in all that she did for others. Born on January 3, 1940, in West Gorton, England, Beryl talked often of how she dreamt of being a missionary in a far away country in Africa or Asia.

God had other plans for her and sent her to America where He used her to reach the lives of countless numbers of children through her work as a special needs aide, preschool teacher and cofounder of Randolph Baptist preschool, Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher, and GAs worker. She served in women’s ministries and church choir at Randolph Baptist Church in Randolph, MA and at Heatherwood Baptist in Newnan, GA. Whether she was teaching others to knit, having a garden party, or helping a friend wallpaper a house, she did it in a way that showed Christ to those she served.

Her door was always open, and her hands were always hard at work. Beryl loved for all to know that Jesus Christ is Lord! As dementia slowly robbed her mind, she never stopped smiling.

Even to the end, she inspired and touched those around her. Her friends and family rejoice knowing she has been set free and is in the hands of Jesus. Beryl is survived by her husband Malcolm, son Geoffrey(Kimberley) Lelliott, daughter Julie (Robert) Haskell, grandchildren Rachel and Allison Haskell and Hannah, Andrew, and Aidan Lelliott.

In England, Beryl is survived by her sister Pauline (Albert), sister in law Pam, and multiple nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Martha Meadow, brother George, and sister Dorothy. A celebration of Beryl’s life will be held at Heatherwood Baptist Church on November 20, at 2:00 pm.
