Obituary for Bessie Opal Scites Woodall Bessie Opal Scites-Woodall was called home unexpectedly to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 25th, 2018, at the age of 66. She was born on June 29th, 1952 to Jimmy and Shirley Scites. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, completely dedicated to her family throughout her life.

She was a kind familiar face to the Hamlin and Milton communities. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband David Woodall of 29 years, who she has deeply missed for 17 years. She is survived by her two daughters Kimberly (Josh) Triplett, and Kristy (John) Childers; her grandchildren that were the loves of her life, Tristan Cooper, Andrew and Kailey Childers, and Kayleigh and Arabella Triplett; her siblings, Odell Scites, Harvey Scites, and Sandi Collins; a special nephew J.D. Scites, along with several nieces, nephews; Debbie and Denise who Bessie always considered them as sisters as well as close friends that were dear to her.

She will always be remembered for her kindness to everyone she met. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29th at Handley Funeral Home in Hamlin. with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Our family would like to thank St. Mary’s Hospital (Medical ICU) for the excellent care they provided to her and the compassion to our family. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please take a moment to hug your parents, children, grandchildren and other loved ones. Time waits for no one.
