Obituary for Patricia Lynn Hicks Patricia Lynn Hicks, 66, of Julian passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born July 20, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Carl Eugene Jarrell and Ora Mave Jarrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arla R. Hicks Jr; and sister Deborah Bailey of Charleston, WV.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Estep (Steven) of Julian, WV and Mandy Hill (John) of Gastonia, NC; one grandchild, Arlie Jackson “AJ” Hill; brothers, Merle Jarrell (Doris) of Charleston, WV, Jay Jarrell (Shirley) of Gurnee, IL and Danny Jarrell (Sandy) of Fort Myers, Fla. ; sister, Judy Jarrell (Glen) of Charleston, WV; sister-in-law, Penny Byrnside (Chuck) of Danville, WV; and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was a homemaker and loving mother who will forever be missed.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. John Goad at Mountaineer Cardiology, Dr. Wade and Dr. Eggleston at Pulmonary Associates, Dr. Haddy and Lindsay Skaff, NP, and Dr. Ronald Chattin for their support and devotion they contributed to Patty’s health care through the years. A special thanks to “sister” Penny Byrnside who was always there to lend a helping hand. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 15 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with the Rev.

Jim Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
