Betcy’s Obituary On Tuesday, January 29, 2019 Betcy George Asterio, a loving mother, aunt, sister, and friend passed away at the age of 53. Betcy was born in Weno, Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia on March 27, 1965 She graduated from Walters State Community College and received her BS in Education. Her love for teaching grew in her 13 years of working at Telamon TN Headstart.

She taught hundreds of children and was a great teacher. Betcy’s positive and loving personality was not only admired by family and friends, but also by all who frequently met her. She was known for her infectious smile, quick wit, and compasionate spirit.

She loved to sing, dance, and make people around her happy. She could brighten up anyone’s day with her presence. She will truly be missed by many people.

Betcy was preceded in death by her father, Asterio, and her mother Liwisa. She is survived by her two daughters, Asiwisa Asterio and Kermy Aunu. As well as serveral of her brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She wanted to be buried on the small islands, where she was born and raised. So therefore, she will be escorted by her family to her resting place after her service.
