Connon L. Crabb, age 92, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the family residence. Mr. Crabb was the son of the late Elsie Lavona MacMasters Crabb and Joseph Ezra Crabb. His wife, Marjorie Crabb, his sisters, Vera Cox, Viola Laws, Madie Whitaker and Margaret Konold, his brothers, Ora, William, Lilburn, Dallas and Floyd Crabb also preceded him in death.

Mr. Crabb was a U. S. Navy Veteran and while he was on his ship which was just off the island of Iwo Jima, he witnessed the famous raising of the American Flag on Iwo Jima by watching it through a pair of Binoculars! He was an airplane mechanic and pilot, working for many companies and retiring from McKee Food. He was a family man and he loved his church, the Collegedale Community Church, Seventh Day Adventist where he was a member.

Survivors include his daughters, Connie Goodman, Carol Clark and Janet Paige and her husband Marty all of Cleveland, his son, Joseph Thomas Crabb, M. D. also of Cleveland, his 8 great grandchildren, his 12 great grandchildren, his 2 great great grandchildren, his sister, Bessie Taylor of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Graveside service and Interment will be conducted on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 2:30 P. M. from the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Military Honors will be given.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from the Collegedale Community Church, SDA at 3:00 P. M.
