Edith’s Obituary Edith Floyd Longworth, age 79, of Etowah, departed this life on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Born on August 2, 1939 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late John and Nellie Michaels Floyd, she had been a resident of McMinn County since 1990. She was a member of Englewood First Church of GOD and also attended Delano Baptist Church with her family.

She loved reading and was a prayer warrior. Her passions were her church and spending time and being involved with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Longworth; sons, Don and Micheal Longworth; brothers, Harold, Kenneth, Eugene, Roy, Marvin, Cecil, and Herbert Floyd; and sister, Margaret Benson:and a special nephew, Walt Wolford.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Scott of Etowah; daughter-in-law, Donna Longworth of Etowah; grandchildren, Randall Bordner, Tiffany Boruff, Amy Bohannon, Nicholas Longworth, and Lisa (Adam)Casteel; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Haley, and Megan Bordner, Taylor and Cole Boruff, Jenna Longworth, Alyssa, Krista, and Brady Bohannon, and Carter and Cooper Casteel; brother, Glenn Floyd of Kokomo, Indiana; and a special nephew, Garrett Floyd. Several other extended family and church family also survives. A Graveside Service will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from the Green Hill Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
