Betsy E. Donehoo age 67, of Freedom, PA, formerly Sewickley passed away suddenly July, 12 2018. Betsy was born Sept. 29, 1950 in Toledo, OH to Robert C. and Carol Scheider.

She graduated from Kent State University in 1971 with a degree in Elementary Education, minor in Library Science. Later she received her Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh and became a Beta Phi Mu Honorary Member. Betsy was the Central Valley School District Librarian in Monaca, PA for 22 years.

She was a past board member of Sewickley Public Library, Child Health Association, treasurer of Sewickley Women’s Club, substitute teacher and volunteer at the Quaker Valley School District. Betsy was involved in her church and has been a current member of the Sewickley Presbyterian Church for 41 years. She was an avid reader and bargain shopper.

Betsy was so happy these past few years with her retirement, Liberty Hills community, spending time in Florida, and of course her granddaughters. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Thomas C. Donehoo, daughter Amy E. Doz (Matthew) of Sewickley, and granddaughters Maggie and Emily. A Celebration of her Faith and Life will be held at Sewickley Presbyterian Church Saturday July 21, 2018 at 10:00am with a gathering afterward.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Sewickley Presbyterian Church, 414 Grant St., Sewickley PA 15143 or DePaul School of Hearing and Speech, 6202 Alder St., Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Arrangements by Copeland’s of Sewickley.
