Betsy Tunstall Bazemore, 88, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2019, at Carteret Landing Assisted Living in Morehead City, NC. There will be a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the Ahoskie Cemetery. Betsy was an active and longtime member of Ahoskie First Baptist Church and other service groups.

After retirement, she and her husband would split their time between their home in Ahoskie, NC and their condo in Atlantic Beach, NC. She was a very loving and active “Mama” that will be missed. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Bazemore McEarl and husband Mike of Morehead City, NC; son, Pete Hudson Bazemore, Jr. and wife Susan of Pfafftown, NC; grandchildren, Amanda McEarl of Wilmington, NC, Sarah McEarl of Greenville, NC and Pete Hudson Bazemore III of Pfafftown, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life of 45 years, Pete Hudson Bazemore, Sr.; and parents, Thomas and Maude Tunstall. Family will receive friends at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, in the library of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Community Hospice at 1423 S Glenburnie Rd.
