Born on June 25, 1931 in Grafton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arlie Pratt and Sarah Elizabeth Pyles Pratt. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and the Gideon Auxiliary, Hampshire Co. Camp.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Delaney, a daughter, Sharon Kirby, brothers: Howard Pratt, Charles Pratt, Bud Pratt, and sisters: Nellie Cochran, Ruth Bittman, and Wilma Jean Martin. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John R. Delaney, 2 sons, Robin K. Delaney of Owings, MD, Steven A. Delaney of Augusta, WV, a sister, Anna Mae Liston of Rowlesburg, WV, a brother, Donald Pratt of Thorton, WV, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
