Betty Aleen Willingham, 98, of 110 Simmons St. died Friday, May 24, 2019 at her residence. Born in Belton, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Lucy Kay Willingham. She was a telephone operator for 37 years for Bellsouth.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was the last member of her immediate family. Surviving are: great nieces, Tiffany Clark (David) of Anderson, and Gail Bridges of Anderson; great nephew, Mel Bridges of Anderson, and Keith Coe of the home: great great nephews; J. C. Bridges, David Bryant Clark, II, Colt Bridges, and Ty Bridges; great great nieces, Aleigha Jade Kelley (Clayton), Kalay Wilson, and Olivia Bridges; great great great nephew, Aaryn Clark; great great great niece, Scarlett Gyspy Kelley.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Emma Kay, and Alfred and Nancy Willingham; her brothers, Fred, John, William, Charles, and Carl Willingham; sisters, Rena King Taylor, and Ruth Rebecca Willingham; niece, Cynthia Hindman. Graveside services will be held at 11am Tuesday at Belton Cemetery with Rev. Ander Kroneman officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
