Betty’s Obituary Betty Ann (Klughartt) Stanton, age 99, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2019 at Santa Marta, Olathe, KS. She was born on March 3, 1919 to Andrew and Agnes Klughartt in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from St. Theresa’s Academy high school and attended Kansas City University (UMKC).

Betty married Eugene F. Stanton on March 6, 1943 in Kansas City, MO. Betty believed in community service and served on the Rockhurst University Library Guild, Ladies of Charity, Kansas City Philharmonic League and St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary. After raising their four children, Betty began a career as a travel agent.

She thoroughly enjoyed traveling throughout the world and experiencing other countries and cultures. She is survived by her four children; Tim (Marsha), Susan, Patty Suarez (Fred) and Sally along with eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. The family would like to thank her personal caregivers, in particular Connie Silkman, her friend and caregiver for over five years as well as the staff at Santa Marta.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s name can be made to Operation Breakthrough or KC Pet Project. A visitation will be held at Cure of Ars on Saturday, February 16 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. There will be a private family burial.
