Betty Arlene Canode, 84, of Inverness, FL and formerly of Bellevue passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Hospice House in Lecanto, FL. She was born April 25, 1934 in Republic, Ohio the daughter of Roy M. and Elizabeth G. (Chapman) Myers. Betty worked at the General Electric Lamp Plant in Bellevue until her retirement in 1985.

She was a member of Calvary Chapel in Inverness. She married Kenneth E. Canode Sr. on June 6, 1953 in Fireside; He preceded her in death in 2004. Betty is survived by her two sons: Kenneth Canode Jr. of Maumee, OH, Roy Canode of Middle Grove, NY; daughters, Beverly Clouse of Inverness, FL and Bonnie McKenzie of Camas Valley, OR; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by twin sisters, Vonda Ireland and Wanda Wolfe; and an infant daughter at birth.

Friends will be received on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Fireside Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Fireside Cemetery Association, 6556 N State Route 18, Clyde, OH 43410 Memories and condolences may be shared at www.
