Obituary for Betty Howell Sosbee Betty Jean Howell Sosbee, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 15, 1936 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Ozie Etta Jane Wilson Howell, and the widow of Thomas Earl Sosbee. Mrs. Sosbee was a 1965 graduate of The Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing, and was retired as a Registered Nurse after 53 years of service.

Survivors include daughters, Vera Keefer of Inman, SC; Betty Amos of Spartanburg, SC; Lisa Stevenson of Alexandria, VA; and son, Thomas Sosbee of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; brothers, Curtis Howell of Spartanburg, SC; Gerald Howell of Florida; and sisters, Stella Murray and Geraldine Cornett, both of Virginia. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Theresa D’Amario. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.

A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. James B. Carter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
