Obituary for Iris Taylor Sampson Iris Taylor Sampson, 80, of Chesnee, SC, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at her home. Born October 19, 1937, in Tazewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Robert Taylor and Georgia Whitt Taylor and widow of Emerson Gould Sampson. Mrs. Sampson was a self-employed wedding caterer for 30 years and a member of Tryon Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her children, Patricia Pagen (Bruce), Beth Rodriquez (Mario), Mike Sampson (Kathy), Andy Sampson (Linda), Steve Sampson (Tammy), John Sampson (Sandy), and Joe Sampson (Mai). Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tryon Seventh Day Adventist School Fund, 2820 Lynn Road, Tryon, NC 28782-6681.

The family is at their respective homes.
