Betty J. Quiggle, 85 years old, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at her home. Betty was born on May 27, 1933 in South Bend to the late Thomas and Helen (Hoag) Colley. She has remained a lifelong resident.

On September 16, 1950 in South Bend, Betty and Jacob A. Quiggle were united in marriage. Jacob preceded her in death on May 27, 2005. Her sister, Doris Ellis, also preceded her in death.

Betty is survived by her three children, Rick A. Quiggle of South Bend, Danita (Sam) Heiter of South Bend, and Sandra (Dale) Ernsperger of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Betty was a faithful member of Southlawn United Methodist Church where she enjoyed many activities and fundraisers. She was an avid bowler for over 20 years.

She worked in the mortgage department at 1st Source Bank for many years. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend. Pastor Larry Chrisman will officiate.

Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Betty J. Quiggle may be donated to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Online condolences may be offered to the Quiggle family at www.
