Obituary for Betty Jane Callaghan Betty Jane Callaghan, 93, of Berea, formerly of Strongsville, passed away June 10, 2018. She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late George and Louise (nee Wedell) Henninger. Betty is the beloved wife of 51 years to the late Robert, who predeceased her in June of 2000; loving mother of Terry (Wendy) Callaghan of Berea and Karen Callaghan of Rocky River; cherished grandmother of the late Scott Callaghan; dear cousin of Dorothy O’Neill.

She retired from NASA as a secretary following 30 years of employment. Betty was a life-long member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Strongsville Garden Club. She was a volunteer at Southwest General Hospital and a Red Coat at Playhouse Square for many years.

She touched the hearts of many and will be missed dearly. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2PM at the Sunset Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. , North Olmsted, with committal services following at Sunset Memorial Park.
