Betty Jane Carrigan, 97, passed away November 20, 2018 in South Jordan Utah. She was born December 16, 1920 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to John and Jane Whiteley. She married Grant Carrigan on May 20, 1941 in Copperton, Utah.

He preceded her in death March 14, 2016. Betty was a secretary at Travelers Insurance Company where she was employed for 20 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always made time for her family and “lovingly worried” about everyone.

She enjoyed gardening, reading and was a lifelong democrat. Betty will be remembered as the sweetest little woman with a very feisty spirit. We will miss her beautiful and kind smile.

Survived by sisters, Dorothy Tregaskis, Patricia (George) Gadd; daughters, Michal (Mike) Swain and Jayne Haun; five grandchildren, Stephanie Haun, Danielle (Kyle) Roberts, Anthony (Megan) Haun, Patrick (Mickie) Swain, Jared (Shelley) Swain and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the employees at the Legacy House of South Jordan. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah.

A viewing will take place starting at 10 am. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
