Betty’s Obituary Betty Jean Eckhardt, 74, of Worden, IL, passed away at 11:21 a.m. Mon. May 6, 2019 at her home while under hospice care. She was born Aug.

9, 1944 in Eddyville, KY to the late William & Elizabeth (Trimm) Odom. On Dec. 22, 1961, she and Norman Frank Eckhardt were married in Edwardsville, IL.

He preceded her in death Aug. 31, 2008. Mrs. Eckhardt was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Worden.

She loved crafting, scrapbooking and bowling. She is survived by 2 sons: David (Dana) Eckhardt of Worden and Daniel (Leann) Eckardt of Edwardsville; a daughter: Dixie (Daniel) Veasmann of Parker, CO; 6 grandchildren: Kristina Harper, Samuel Eckhardt, Ashley (Emily) Eckhardt, Alicia (Spencer) Strohmeier and Lindsey Bailey and Dylan Bailey; a great-granddaughter: Edie Harper; and a brother: Bill Odom of Meadowbrook, IL. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Odom.
