Obituary for Betty Jean Mason Betty Jean Henderson Mason, 86, widow of Grover Perry Mason, passed away November 4, 2018. A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Hattie Henderson and a lifelong member of Washington Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Jan Walker (Larry) of Inman and Rita Owens of Lyman; one sister, Estelle Brown of Greer; six grandchildren, Bart Mason, Johnny Owens (Charity), Mason Walker (Kim), Sallie Kinard (Chris), Ellen Pangle (Eric) and Martha Jane Walker; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also predeceased by one son, Corky Mason; one son-in-law, Steve Owens; two brothers, Joe and Arnold Henderson; and one sister, Janie Ross. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Washington Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Kerry Henderson.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Kinard, Johnny Owens, Mason Walker, Eric Pangle, Peyton Owens and Walker Pangle, Preston Owens and John Lawrence Walker. Honorary escort will be the Lou Ellen Barnette Sunday School Class of Washington Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service. The family is at the home of daughter, Rita Owens, 130 Foxlair Court, Lyman, SC. Memorials may be made to Washington Baptist Church Building Fund, 3500 N. Highway 14, Greer, SC 29651.
