Obituary for Ray P. Walker Ray Palmer Walker, 94, widower of Laura Dean Taylor Walker, passed away October 31, 2018. A native of Greenville County, son of the late Arthur William and Hettie Hayes Walker, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII in Normandy he was a medic surgical tech, a retired employee of Continental Engines and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church. Mr. Walker was a life member of Taylors Lodge No.

345 AFM and a member of the masons since 1950. Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Pickelsimer (Wayne) of Greer; a son, Keith Walker (Felicia) of Greenville; two granddaughters, Jill McCormick (Kevin) of Blackville and Emily Walker of Greenville; two great-granddaughters, Madalyn and Alexis McCormick; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Walker was predeceased by three brothers, Wansley, Shields and John Walker and four sisters, Ruby Cochran, Dorothy Hammett, Lois Garrison and Sunnie Pearson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Taylors First Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley and Rev. Neil Cochran. Burial will follow in the church cemetery Visitation will be held 9:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Lynn Pickelsimer. Special thanks to the care staff at McCall Hospice House. Memorials may be made to Taylors Free Clinic, 400 W.
